Richard "Rick" Wilson
Obituary Richard "Rick" P. Wilson, 68, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at his home with his family by his side. A life resident of Syracuse, he retired from Bristol Myers Squibb after 40 years of dedicated service. After retirement, Richard worked at Berkshire Hathaway. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed fly fishing in the Salmon River. He loved spending time in the Adirondacks. Richard had many friends and enjoyed open mic night. He had a profound love for guitars and his Harley Motorcycle, but most of all he enjoyed spending times with family and friends. Richard was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was predeceased by his parents, Perry and Helen Wilson. Survivors include his wife of 13 years, Diane Gainer Wilson; sons, Richard S. Wilson (Christina) of N. Carolina, Greg (Natalie) Wilson of Chicago, Brian (Leah) Wilson of Little Falls, Mark (Alexandra) Wilson and Kevin Wilson, both of Syracuse; step-son, Christopher (Jessica) Bruns of Beamus Point; brother, Bruce (Vicki) Wilson of KY; 11 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the Upstate Cancer Center and Hospice of CNY for their care and compassion. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 8th, 3 p.m. at All Saints Church, 1340 Lancaster Ave, Syracuse.
