Joyce Powell - Donohoe

Joyce's sister Gayle, is married to my brother, Gary. She has had a long battle with cervical cancer and until just these last few months, has never once complained or even acknowledged her illness. She was a wonderful, positive, fun force to be reckoned with - and will always be remembered with that beautiful, welcoming smile of hers.    Lynne Gibson Lovett

From Joyce's husband Peter Donohoe:

I am at a loss for words to adequately describe my sadness in announcing Joyce’s passing this morning, peacefully, at home with her daughter Jacque and me, after an epic struggle with cancer, and with a fierce determination to live every minute to its fullest, until her energy was totally spent.

I know that I can speak for the rest of her family in thanking all of you who have been close enough to support Joyce and us during the very difficult past sixteen months of her twenty year ordeal. The constant stream of visitors to our home the past three weeks is in itself a fine tribute to this wonderful woman, my wife, my love, my Joyce.

I had just talked with Bob last week I  knew he had some serious problems from Vietnam that has plagued him for years. He was my best friend in High School we did most everything together. Let me know if you hear anything else on this. His brother Craig also passed away earlier this year, again unknown causes!

Linda Vandeven Beidleman
I'm sorry to hear of Bob's passing!!!  He was a good friend of mine in high school.  The last time I saw him was when he got back from Viet Nam, we had a long talk about his tour.  My prayers are with his family.

Thank you for letting us know

I'm so sorry to get this terrible news. Rob was a good friend back in
the day and we had been talking on Face book recently. We were up north
last week so I just saw this. I talked with him about a week ago. I know
he struggled with PTSD and friends on face book were encouraging him
with helpful words. It's sad to see an old friend go.
I won't forget the good times we had
My condolences to everyone who feels the loss of a courageous man.
